As i start to enclose myself at home to mug like what my sch mates shld be doing right now.. i start to observe my surroundings and this sparked my memories of living in Hougang..
I remembered the days when the curry puff cum bread uncle riding his stalls(his stall is integrated on his bicycle) to void decks...and before you know it.. crowds will encompass his tiny workspace...he would either be packing curry puffs or spreading the usual kaya on traditional flavoured bread. Before inflation.. curry puffs were just 40cents.. just miss those days..
swimming pool would be a jump away from my home...punching of tickets into the machine to enter... after swimming, it would be a routine for my siblings and i to indulge ourselves into a pack of fries... remembered those thick strands of golden fried fries...yummy.. hv not swam in a public pool since i moved... missed the days...
And MAMA stall would be a frequent hideout for my fatty bros and me... putting "dong kia"(coins) into tikam machine, praying for the goods we want... and buying the qn mark bag where you open and there will be surprises... 5 cents sweet would be used to clear the remaining savings... haha...
And my Wu Shu lessons in the sports complex...also a stone throw from my hse! miss them..!! i remebered laughing non stop during my examination... *blush* so paiseh.. but who cares... i was young then...
Arh!!! i just saw the "song of the sea" in sentosa on TV!!! so nice!! after exams..sentosa..here i come!!
