How many times have you blasted your brain to find a condusive place to study? Well, i have. Many times. This semester, i "explored" some of the places near hougang to study. (khakis included: yan wen and cindy).

Monday: Chinese Development Assistance Council+ Macdonalds+Void Deck

Started early in the morning to search for this place (CDAC) as recommended by my little brother. Walked a long distance from hougang plaza to find that it is actually behind my pri sch. So the sign read "mon-fri: 1pm to .." Went to a void deck nearby to study instead. For the occassional discomfort from stares by passerby and noise from recess break, it was actually quite a nice place to study. But a tad bit too hot.

Went to meet yan wen for lunch at hougang plaza before proceeding to Mac for out short revision (Cos we were waiting for cindy. CINDY LA!!). I still can't understand why people loved going there for revision. ITS SUPER NOISY! Even before school break. Distractions were almost exactly those you found at home.

Went back to CDAC for revision. Other than the unwelcoming auntie, this was really the one to go for a quite revision. Other than the ocassion bell from the detector, the bomb shelter has a real good acoustical performace. The tables were in jap style so you can fold your legs akimbo or sit in any position you like. Clean toilets, aircon temperature just right. When we took our break outside, we even witnessed a 'murder' scene. Well, a cat caught a javan mynah and ran away with it.

Tuesday: Home

This is the worst of the worst!!! Lots of resistance. No discipline to wake up early. Television is a click away (plus SCV!!) Bed to take afternoon nap. Snacks in the kitchen. Rabbits to play with. Horrible horrible! I only studied 1.5 chapters of M&E the whole day! And you have to pay for switching on aircon!

Wednesday: Ci yuan wellness studio

Well, my dad introduced me this place. But i was quite disappointed when i went there. There is only this small table that can accomodate only 2 people. But the people there were very nice. We were rather ...unfortunate cos it was also karaoke session that day. So it was pretty noisy when the aunties sang next door. Well, it was kinda like a live band on some occassion so it was alright la. But the place was vibrating badly that i worry the clock above us would drop any time.

In the midst of exam preparation... we were busy with projects! Project was supposed to start at 1pm and end at 6pm. But it was extended to 10pm. Measurements followed by Research. SDE to YIH. Luckily, I've got crappy fully fun group mates to stay with.

Con tech lesson...super fun..not those dry and boring lessons. It was practical!

We were super lucky that con tech lecture ended early...saved on cab fare. Cos we were supposed to meet a HDB personnel for an interview at 2.30pm when our lecture is supposed to end ard 1.30pm.

Went to satisfy our craving for xiao long bao after that at Ding Tai Fung. Bagus as usual.

As we were about to leave..we spotted this HDB gallery and found it super interesting and decided to explore. Since it was only me, laura and huimin who are at the gallery..you know *winks winks* Took some photos there. And i promise to visit there again to complete my photo collection. IF AND ONLY IF...my friends accompanied me there. But Toa payoh is super unaccessible to sengkang. The kitchen of olden days.....Reminiscing ...Walking to my past...What are we doing?...Watch television la..In the Precast toilet. Wonder what the kids are looking at... See Huimin at the corner?

I was sick and had to go to the doctor twice

My bro got sick not long after... went to the doctor twice too..

My lil bro dropped his NEW LG handphone.. and a thief took it away. (DAMN THE THIEF i am like so going to curse u to hell..even when my conscience told me not to)

And i had another nightmare that i crashed dad's car. SO REAL!

But i still believe these are just small prices to pay to advert larger disaster. Don't worry..just some random thoughts

A happier note.. i am going bangkok with my aunt this coming holiday!!! YEA!! Anyone wants to join in?!

And i want to watch SHUTTER!!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MOVIE PRODUCTION!! Who wants to watch?!Let me see some frantic hands *waves*

MY GOD!!! I can like finally finally see the light! Macham i am jailed for the past 2 weeks. Seeing lijing, laura and huimin for the past week..is more than i see my parents for a month la! WAHAHAH!!! Not that there is something wrong...BUT IS SO WRONG LA! Where got pple see friends like eat rice one!This is our sweat and blood and lots of styrafoam inhalation.

Anyway.. Con tech project is finally over.. but more is to come.. M&E and Research. Damn it la! My lungs are not recovered yet and i spent like $74 on medical bills . Faints! Imagine having to see the doc a 3rd time. I might as well go hospital get my lungs removed. *roll eyes*

After viewing all the pictures of myself in boots and helmet, i conclude that i am not cut out to work outdoors. I don't look matching with the outfit la. I guess i will be a manager ba. I look like one lei.

It was super fun yesterday.. Working at the NUS open house.

From koping big bag of goodies from the PRU to cracking jokes.

The day started at 8.45am when we were given briefing on the open house. We were dispersed at mpsh hall at 9.15am. The crowd starts to swarm in in the afternoon..and it was soo soo crowded.. macham NUS is having IT show. When traffic was low, lijing accompanied me downstairs to refill my drink. This was when the PRU started giving out goodies. HAHAHA! Totally fabulous goodies.. A big bag of exported lays, facial products, batteries, magazine.....

Late evening..when all of us are hoarse from talking and crowd is literally ziltch, we started crapping. Huifang introduced her little red riding hood while lijing mentioned her matchstick joke.

Anyway, the whole fair was pretty rewarding cos many people seemed interested in the course.

I am intensely traumatised by the truckload of project deadlines. Damn! That is what i detest most about our course. Totally *Uh OH*! Test coming up this coming friday. And i am still lost about the 1st part of this module. Hai!~

Anyway... Had a super fun site visit this wed. Duper exhilarating when we went down to the excavated basement. No solid ground. And haha! So proud to say i was one of the few who went down to the circle line before it was opened to the public. ok! Will post picts when i get them!

Happy day yesterday.. Met up the girlies on the day of leap year. Dinner at soup kitchen. And amazingly, the food is filling and fantastic. I ordered a "regular"-bowl roasted pumpkin soup with a half-smoked salmon sandwich accompanied with ice cold lemon tea. Fabulous i must say. To think i suspected the appetite of SL's bf. LOL!

Did loads of catching up and photo-taking sessions when unfortunately... i stepped on my slipper and fell down, hitting my tail bone. And IT HURTS LIKE HELL!!! I went deaf for a moment and the world was spinning. I felt nausea too. Totally freaked me out. Luckily my girlies accompanied me!!

Anyway..i am better now.. and wt was like making me laugh. So i said "i have to squeeze my butt and laugh" cos it will hurt if i laugh. WAHAHHA. Now she purposely make me laugh.. *DIAO*

Met up with the uni mates yesterday after project meeting. It was loads of fun!

We had dinner at a HK cafe..called KIM GARY. I think the food is super nice. WAtched L-change the world. And had B&J for desserts. I got a shock of my life when i opened my wallet this afternoon.. MY $50 bucks is gone!! I can't believe it! Spent so much yesterday la! (ok..cos i bought another top too..wahaha) Chit chat until late at night and woke up at 12 plus this afternoon to go sushi buffet with my bro.

Trip to 1 degree 15 yesterday. This time, my coussie has booked a cabin boat.. total luxury.. It is beautiful and loads of FUN!!! A pity i got seasick and left with my bro and maid home.. Bohoo..otherwise i would have spent the night there. the cabin boat..the "living room"the bedrooms...my nephew and his uncle...(my bro la)

Paying tribute to Ah Meng.. 1960 - 2008

My dad has told me before that Ah Meng actually came from a family in his kampong ..and have lived there for a few years before she was captured and brought to Singapore Zoo.. Like how amazing it was to have lived with a celebrity... haha..

Anyway.. deepest condolences to those who were real close to her. I can imagine the pain..cos i lost my pets b4.. is like losing a loved one... Rest in Peace Ah Meng.. Remembered forever..

It's already the 3rd day of CNY..

And gosh.. i can forget about gaining weight... cos of kids..

I have been playing with my nephews and niece these few days. And it's totally draining me out.. *low battery* *warning*

And what they loved about my house..the stairs and my animals...

It is no wonder my bunnies and terrapins grow fatter than me during visits.. cos' the kids always pester to feed the animals..

and the stairs are my worst fear..once they see it...there will be no end.....

Haha..but no choice...who ask me to love kids la.. i just cannot bear to break their tiny hearts.. *aww*

1. During our Materials lecture, we were informed of a shooting that will be ongoing. It will be aired in channel 5. But no details were given on the purpose nor the date of airing. We got really excited upon hearing this.. cos of cindy *Private joke*

2. This brand produces simply fantabulous pizzas. Try it to taste how good it is... No bluff..is lagi good.

3. The long waited Materials lab is finally here!! Uber Fun fun!!! Met new friends and they are wonderful people to work with. Mixing cement and monkeying in lab(as usual..Duh!! or not it would not be called lab..haha)

4. Baby Aidan's 1st month last sunday. Did not take pictures...but wait.. will take soon.. He's duper duper cute i tell you..

Saturday: went to Chinatown with my mum.. and as expected..crowded with pple..got to see fireworks and firecracker cos of the opening ceremony..

Sunday: Went to the Club house at Sentosa Cove (1 Degree 15) for a swim with my nephew! Gosh! the place is like freaking nice..Especially their Guest room. Even the public bath has this huge waiting area with cushioned seats and a 24" LCD screen la!

ok...so i was afraid the baby cry..so i say hello on my nephew's behalf.. but next thing..he was giggling.. Seriously..i wonder how they communicate just by eye contact.. Babies..haha

My cousin in law has given birth to a baby boy yesterday and we visited him today. Guess what? Baby Aidan and his mummy has the same birthday! How cool is that?!!

Once again, interview was done on the father (abt his feelings being a 1st time father). Well..he barely expressed his joy. Cos he was smiling and giggling too much. So we knew...

For the closest 2 nephews, i begin to see changes in their parents. My cousins became very (kazillion times) loving parents and would see that they mature alot.

Of cos, the mums (my mummy, my aunt and cousin in law) discussed abt their birth experience (and the after effects). I had the urge to hug my mum hard at that time. IT'S NOT EZ! If any one ever said to their mum "then u shldn't give birth to me.." pls apologise to them straight away. In the 1st place, ur mum wouldn't expect u to be so spoilt.

Anyway..i am so bored!! Sch start pls!!

It is a Rainy day. But, it doesn't stop the hyper peeps from cycling. They are Lijing and ME! Yes, we have agreed to go cycling despite the weather. As Pasir Ris Park(PRP) is undergoing renovation..The place is almost DESERTED!!!

BUT...this means that bicycle rental is CHEAP CHEAP!! Highly recommended to go Home Team NS to borrow your bike. $4/2hr. And the uncle will recommend u the best bike. And they have kittens there!!! SO CUTE!

At certain intervals, the rain was pouring so terribly that we have to stop in shelters. Cos our specs weren't installed with screen wipers. my bag was like so dirty...

The kids corner was different now. There is a teletubby hill. And damn! i sprain my hand when i breaked cos i was sliding too fast. And my legs and knees are super duper painful after the whole biking that i have trouble walking.

Oh ya..and we cycled all the way to downtown east to get food cos we are simply too hungry. WAHAHA!!
